
Wendy Sobey, CNM, MS
Wendy Sobey is a highly experienced Certified Nurse Midwife with more than 30 years of
dedication to women’s health. She earned her Master of Science in Midwifery from SUNY
Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York, and has since built a versatile career
serving women in hospitals, clinics, and private practices across New York, Arizona,
Washington, D.C., and Maryland.
Wendy’s clinical expertise spans prenatal care, childbirth, and gynecological services for
women at every stage of life, from adolescence through post-menopause. She is deeply
committed to empowering her patients and has championed innovative models of care,
including the Centering in Pregnancy program at Federally Qualified Health Centers, which
promotes group-based, inclusive prenatal care.
Her dedication to preventative health has been recognized through her efforts to improve
pap smear screening rates and expand access to contraceptive procedures and devices.
Guided by the core midwifery principle of being “with woman,” Wendy ensures that each
patient is an active participant in her own health journey.
